The French gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne has a wonderful aroma, a rich taste; the saltiness increases with the incidence of veining. The overall flavor is piquant but not overly sharp. Bleu d'Auvergne started life as an imitation of Roquefort, using cow's milk in place of sheep's milk. Legend has it that a peasant, around 1845, decided to inject his cheese with a blue mold that he found growing on his left-over bread (the motto being, waste not, want not). And thus, the gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne was born. This French gourmet blue cheese comes from the region of Auvergne and the cheese is made from milk of Salers and Aubrac cows. The rind is very thin and so the cheese is usually wrapped in foil. The cheese is rich and creamy with a pale yellow color and scattered holes and well-defined greenish-blue veining. We cut and wrap this cheese in wedge of 8 ounces and 1 pound.

You guys rock! Saw you at the OAKDALE in Wallingford CT. You opened for the doors of 21st centry or whatever, Steppenwolf, and a few others- but you guys stole the show. I took like five doses of orange sunshine blotters and some escatsy- a hippy flip its called. I wigged-out to your music, took off my top and shook my boobies to the beat of Hangin' on. Mark Stein kept staring and he made me so hot. What a night! I met my husband that night in an orgy after the show. I'm only 23 (and yes guys, I'm thin, brunette, and hot....i'm told only my ass is better than my ****) but I can honestly say now that the Vinilla Fudge totally changed my life! Come back to Wallingford and I'll have the whole band over my home. My husband likes to watch. The 60's live on in my bedroom. Peace love drugs. The Fudge rule!

I Know you don't have anymore track record of the first Vanilla Fudge Fan Club 1968. FUDGE POWER ring a bell to anyone? I live in Montreal. Quebec. (Canada). The Vanilla Fudge perform at The Nations Place in Montreal Universal Exposition in summer 1968 and a was there. After one song Carmine ask the peoples in the first rows the come on the stage, sit, and make them feel a little more closer.
Big mistake. I don't know why or how this things happen but the stage was complitely surrounded by hundreds of "french fan's" who didn't understand a word about what Carmine have in mind that for sure!. After 90 minutes of misunderstanding the Fudge came back on stage and perform for a very special night!

I went to a concert to see jimi Hendrix and the Vanilla Fudge were the warm up band. they were a 10 and Hendrix was a 3. As the Fudge's set ended, the drummer didnt want to quit. He played on till someone told him to knock it off....He pushed his drum kit off the stage onto the floor. It was a kick butt show by the Vanilla Fudge.

Although I'm not from that era, your performance of You Keep Me Hanging On from the 1968 Ray Anthony Show is one of the best videos ever (I 1st saw a brief clip on a Time-Life infomercial). People who have commented on YouTube about seeing VF on this 1968 show remember it vividly and said it had quite an impact on them--they had never witnessed a TV broadcast like that before. If anyone has more info on this performance, please post it on this site or gmail me. Also, was the dancer in front of Bogert and Appice the legendary Lada Edmund Jr.? What a babe! Thanks!

I feel compelled to say thanks to one of the greatest guitarist I have ever had the pleasure to play with. The Fresh Fudge never made it out of the studio but the jams were awesome! If Vinny could remember the house in Ronkonkoma he might remember the first time we jammed and created a wall of sound. I played the Bass and Willy played the drums. I look forward to seeing you at Bald Hill this August 9th 2009! Thanks Vinny...Desi

I bought a copy of "Vanilla Fudge" last week on CD because the only other copy I have is vinyl. I just played it and have been blown away all over again. Especially "People Get Ready" and "Eleanor Rigby". WOW!!! Brings back memories of playing (or trying to) "You Keep Me Hanging On" when I was in a band in the 60's. Just can't get YOUR sound on a Vox Continental. Thanks for some great stuff!

My first album of vanilla fudge was The Beat Goes on and I thought it was a cool album that had music from the beatles to mozart and the actual audio clips of events that happened in history.
