You've surely heard of a band that does Eagles' covers! There are bands that are specifically Eagles tribute bands, now we've found a Vanilla Fudge tribute band!! They've even got an album... here's the cover: [Photo] You can see more background on it here! :-)

** ...now we've found a Vanilla Fudge tribute band!! They've even got an album... here's the cover:** OKAY! OKAY! I guess now I have to prove to you guys I DO have a sense of humor!(vvbg) I DO sincerely hope that the FUDGE have a sense of humor too. Please guys, if you hate it, let me hear from you, not your lawyers!(g) It'll be history! BTW, those ARE all my instruments, in my basement "studio". On a simple 4 track cassette, I have three of four tracks recorded of Vanilla Bremy's "Break Song"(I don't play guitar well). Hmmm, my six string bass kinda looks like an SG from that angle, huh Vince? To The Fudge. Seriously, the cover and title may be tongue-in-cheek, but my passion for the music certainly is not. I've never seen such energy displayed ever as when I saw them perform Break Song, and more than once I might add. I can still see the spotlights on each of them during the solos from my perch in the front row of the balcony of the Fillmore East. I'll never forget it. This "cover" really is a tribute more than a goof. In a photo, you may be replaceable. Musically? NEVER!
Me on a Fudge album ...I
can dream, can't I? My thanks to Jean, my beautiful, PATIENT wife, for helping me! ...and Casey, I think I might have to kill ya!(ROFL) Pete |

Pete, Thank God you went for "Near the Beginning" and NOT the FIRST album cover. The effect of THAT could have been gross beyond imagination! Well done though!! Phil |
