I suspect that this thread won't produce a huge amount of info. - but maybe there's a chance to annotate articles/reviews, past & present. For starters, everyone needs to see the Sept 1997 issue of the UK magazine MOJO. There is a two page Fudge feature (believe it or not!! - pages 32/33) Additionally, the mag runs a "Dragnet" feature, advising readers of music-related web sites of interest. The Vanilla Fudge site is mentioned with the observation "it's great too!" Congratulations!! Phil Rae

Hi Phil, I'm not so sure about that it wouldn't produce a reasonable amount of material. Personally, I think it's a good idea! Casey, Bill and I have discussed publications in the Gallery, but of course, copyrights come in to play. But maybe a thread or a conference in the forum might be in order, at least for starters. I think it would be okay if we take a quote or two, so long as the publication and the author are credited. Quotes of reviews are often used by publishing houses and movie production companies. I think you might have a good idea, Phil. Casey, what do you think? Pete

Casey, what do you think?<>A couple of Quotes from the article, plus references to the magazine issue, date, page, or book publisher, date, ISBN number so people can look things up easily is what we'd need. We could also ask for permission to post with older publications. I've asked for permission for two items by email but never heard back. Likely phone calls would be better! I can't wait to see the MOJO mag Phil is talking about! That's really something, and may lead to other publications following up with more Fudge stuff. Casey

Hi Phil, Thanks for the "heads up" on the MOJO article about the Fudge. I was a little anoyed with them when they came out with their TOP 100 singles of all time and didn't list YKMHO. At least in that listing they did include one of Shadow Morton's hits with the Shangri-las. For U.S. members of the forum: MOJO is a British music magazine you can locate in bookstores like Barnes & Noble Super Stores and Border's Books and Records. All the best, Bill

There's an interesting non-English page on Vanilla Fudge at: http://rsc.nsu.ru/aquarian/mus_enc/v/v_fudge.html Maybe one of our European members would like to check it out and report on it's contents? It has a pretty good discography on the Fudge including the Boomerang and Pigeon's LP's but I was unable to read much more of the page.

I think it will have to be one of our Russian members, Bill. That site is in a subdirectory of Novosibirsk State University, Novsibirsk, Siberia! How about it Denis? Pete
